WHO WE ARE

Embers is run by Tyla Grant [trading as a sole trader] We are responsible for the personal data described on this page. You can contact us at Tyla@embers.works.

WHAT WE COLLECT AND WHY

Report sign-up: your first name, last name and email, and your company if you choose to give it. We use these to send you the report.

Optional tick box: if you tick "Email me about Embers", we may also contact you about Embers coaching and advisory.

Coaching waiting list: your first name, last name and email, and your answer if you tell us what support you need. We use these to tell you when places open, to send you updates about Embers, and to help shape the support we offer.

Advisory enquiries: whatever you include when you email us, such as your name, company, role and message. We use it to reply to you.

Form protection: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. Google may collect technical information such as your IP address when it runs.

OUR LEGAL BASIS

For the report, the waiting list and updates, we rely on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time. For replying to an enquiry you send us, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering your request.

WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We use MailerLite to host this website and send our emails, and Google to store the report file and run reCAPTCHA. They process your data on our behalf. We do not sell your data.

WHERE YOUR DATA IS STORED

Our email and website provider, MailerLite, acts as our data processor. MailerLite is an EU-based company and may process data in countries outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where it does, it relies on safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum. We also use Google (Google Drive and reCAPTCHA), which may process data outside the UK under its own safeguards. You can read MailerLite's privacy information at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Mailing list (report and waiting list): we keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If you haven't opened or clicked any of our emails for 24 months, we may remove you from the list.

When you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record (your email address and the date) so that we do not email you again by mistake.

Advisory enquiries: we keep emails from companies and the replies for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, unless we start working together. If we do, we keep the records we need for our business and tax obligations, which can be up to six years.

Our website provider keeps technical records of sign-ups, such as the date and your IP address, as proof of consent, for as long as your details stay on our list.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or stop using it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Email Tyla@embers.works and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

UNSUBSCRIBING

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and we will remove you.

COOKIES

This website uses only the cookies and similar technologies it needs to work. Our sign-up forms store small items in your browser, for example to remember that a form has been shown or submitted. Our forms also use Google reCAPTCHA to stop spam, which runs scripts from Google and may collect technical information such as your IP address. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, although the forms may not work properly if you do.
